Terms and Conditions – Blue Ice Cave Tours

These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with Blue Ice Cave Tours. By booking a tour, you agree to the following:

1. General Terms

  • All tours are subject to availability and weather conditions.

  • For safety or operational reasons, itineraries may be adjusted, postponed, or cancelled at our discretion.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • A booking is confirmed once full payment has been received and processed.

  • All prices are listed in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and include taxes unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices displayed online may change without prior notice.

  • Bookings are valid only when made through our official website (blueicecavetours.com) or authorized partners.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure are non-refundable.

  • Customers who arrive late for a scheduled departure will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Ice caves are natural formations and may flood or become unstable without notice. If a cave is deemed unsafe or inaccessible, a full refund will be issued.

  • If a tour is cancelled due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be offered.

4. Participant Responsibilities

  • The minimum age to participate is 8 years old.

  • Participants must be able to walk on uneven gravel ground and navigate uphill and downhill sections.

  • Guests must wear suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for glacier and ice cave conditions.

  • All participants must comply with our safety rules and follow the instructions of our guides at all times. Failure to do so may result in removal from the tour without refund.

  • Blue Ice Cave Tours is not responsible for any injury, accident, or harm resulting from negligence, inappropriate equipment, or failure to follow safety rules and instructions.

5. Health and Fitness

  • Participants must be in good physical health and capable of taking part in outdoor activities under potentially challenging conditions.

  • We reserve the right to deny participation to anyone who, in our judgment, is unfit for the activity or poses a risk to themselves or others.

  • By booking, participants confirm that they meet the physical requirements for the tour.

6. Liability

  • Participation in glacier and ice cave tours involves inherent risks related to outdoor activities in natural environments.

  • Blue Ice Cave Tours cannot be held liable for delays, cancellations, injuries, or losses caused by weather, natural conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

  • We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel and health insurance that covers outdoor adventure activities.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

  • We respect your privacy. Personal information collected during the booking process will only be used for reservation and communication purposes.

  • We will never sell or disclose personal data to third parties, except where required by law.

  • Payments made through our website comply with relevant security and data protection standards.

8. Amendments to Terms

  • Blue Ice Cave Tours reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.

  • Any changes will be published on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Icelandic courts.

By completing a booking with Blue Ice Cave Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
